A very important part of the Humane Society's
mission is to reduce animal suffering caused by overpopulation through a subsidy program for Greene County pet owners to obtain
spay/neuter surgery for their pets. The program is income based on how many "human" members are in the family. It
covers many mid-level income families and is not exclusive to low/or no income. Cats can cost as little as $25.00 and dogs
costs are based on weight, as low as $45.00! To see if your family qualifies for assistance call our office @ 937-376-3001
and leave your name and number for someone to call you back with a price quote.
We are now offering
an addition to our regular low cost spay/neuter program! It is specifically for cats who live outdoors
in an effort to help them maintain the best quality of life by not reproducing into uncontrolled numbers! The
cost is extremely affordable, with no income requirements. We have altered over 2000 cats through this program since
its inception in 2006! So, if you are a caretaker of outside feral, barn, or neightborhood cats, or know of anyone who
is, please contact us for more details. We also have humane traps and carriers available to loan for your convenience.
Don't forget, this is an ADDITIONAL program! Our regular service for dogs and cats is always ongoing.

In 2012 we helped over 1496 animals with their surgery costs
and we hope to surpass that number for 2013! This included helping 428 dogs, 495 cats and 573 cats in our s/n clinics. Thanks
to everyone for their support in our programs!
